The government says it's willing to review its new tourist and conference visa guidelines provided grievances made so far are genuine.
 

The Union home secretary says they have received a number of requests regarding reviewing the conference visa system and these applications are being considered.
 

Changes to the guidelines now require prior security clearance for visitors from Afghanistan, Bangladesh, China, Iran, Pakistan, Sri Lanka, Iraq, Sudan, foreigners of Pakistani origin and stateless persons.
 

As for the tourist visa, the home secretary has questioned how many of the 6,000,000 tourists each year would like to return within 60 days.
