Get ready to shell out

<janet says> A hike in petrol prices again..Yeah sad but true. I remember when prices were cut last year by about 8 rupees per litre of gas...what happiness, but then ofcourse it got hiked again and now  it gets hiked once more. The committe of petrol pricing India is presently still debating the issue, but looks to me that this price increase is just around the corner.

We'll get to the other side of the story by getting the views of CMD, ONGC (Oil and Natural Gas Corp Limited). They're all for the hike, say its about time concumers pay the international rates of petrol.
Does this affect you? What do you think? Any alternative suggestions on what the government can do? In Karnataka we pay 51 rupees per litres of petrol!
